My group and I, at West Craven High School, have created this website to inform you about a global and depressing issue that has always, but hopefully not always be, a serious problem. Do you have an animal, if not, have you ever known someone with a pet? Most people will answer yes, and that brings me to my next question: do you think the animals and pets, and furry family members have been mistreated, or abused in any way? Hopefully not. My group and I have been working on a "Making a Difference" project for the past few weeks, and interviewing the community, and some specific people who work/ have worked closely with animals. No fear! If you don't work closely with animals, or you're not hand picked for an interview, you can still help raise awareness! There are many options, such as: clicking on the tab above that reads "About" and take a quick, no stress survey to give us your opinion, you may also donate canned pet food, treats, toys, etc. to local shelters or animal hospitals. Another option would be to adopt a rescued animal, or injured animal without a home. The option I like best is: You could also create a website, or print posters, or something as simple as hosting a donation charity in a local park, or even you neighborhood, to raise awareness to abused animals. Our goal is to put an end to animal abuse, and treat our little furry family members the way they should be treated.
